Shedeur Sanders is set to declare for the 2025 NFL draft. The Colorado Buffaloes quarterback is considered an early first-round pick, and the Tennessee Titans have been linked with Sanders recently.
Since the Titans have the No. 1 pick in this year's draft, Bleacher Report photoshopped Sanders and his CU teammate Travis Hunter in Titans uniforms and asked fans on X whom Tennessee should select in the first round. While many engaged in the discussion, former New York Jets scout Daniel Kelly urged the Titans to avoid Sanders, given their recent history with quarterbacks.
"I’ll help you, not the guy on the left. Please don’t do this again to another quarterback," Kelly tweeted.
During Sunday's Week 18 clash between the Titans and the Houston Texans, cameras showed a section of Tennessee fans wearing brown paper bags on their heads in protest of the team's struggles. One fan had a cutout of Sanders on the front of his bag.
While the Titans are potentially eyeing a quarterback in the first round, they could consider Sanders or Miami signal-caller Cam Ward.
There are signs that the New York Giants, who have the No. 3 pick, might look to draft Sanders. He even had a brief meet-up with Giants wideout Malik Nabers in December, which sparked rumors that the QB could head to NY.
Shedeur Sanders boosted his draft stock in Colorado's 2024 season
Shedeur Sanders had an excellent final season at Colorado, in which he boosted his draft stock. The CU signal-caller was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year and also won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.
Sanders finished the 2024 season by completing 353 of 477 passes for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns with 10 interceptions. He also rushed for four touchdowns on 100 carries across 13 games.
No. 20 Colorado went 9-4 after losing the Alamo Bowl to No. 17 BYU 36-14 in its final game of the season.
