Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter is facing off-field drama surrounding his fiancée, Leanna Lenee. Following Lenee’s conduct at the Heisman Trophy ceremony and leaked videos and text messages suggesting infidelity, the couple has been under intense scrutiny.

Amid the controversy, 20-year-old rapper King Harris sent Hunter a message of support via Instagram DM. Harris wrote:

"I been getting hated on my whole life and never let it get to me just pushes me to succeed in everything I do !! 🅿️ Don't let it break ya let it make ya 🫡"

Hunter responded with a simple:

“Appreciate this fam 💯”. Harris then shared a screenshot of their exchange on his IG story, adding the caption: "STAY STRONG 🅿️ BREAKING AIN'T A OPTION🫡NOT MY BUSINESS TO GET IN BUT I PRAY IT ALL WORKS OUT FA YA👑"

Hunter and Lenee’s relationship began after Hunter contacted her on Instagram. Lenee initially didn’t respond for two months and only wanted to be friends. After two more months of texting, Hunter accompanied Lenee to a dinner, and he says they’ve been “in love ever since then.”

Travis and Leanna are probably facing one of the worst phases of their relationship. However, their love story almost didn’t happen. It turns out that Hunter wasn’t initially Lenee’s "type." In a TikTok video, Hunter revealed that Lenee ignored his initial attempts to contact her via DMs. Lenee confirmed this, claiming she didn’t reply “because he wasn’t my type.”

The couple first interacted at Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia. Hunter shared more details on Friday in an appearance on the “Kicking It with Dee” podcast. He described how Lenee used to ignore him.

Hunter revealed how Lenee’s brother, now one of his best friends, discovered the ignored messages.

“He’s seen my phone one day and I texted her on Instagram and she never text me back,” Hunter said. “Her brother’s reaction was, 'You don't know who this is? You don't know who this is, bro?' Lenee’s response? 'I don't care who that is.'

“She’s seen my text messages a long time ago and that’s when I was nothing, so she still don’t even know why she talks to me.”
