Arch Manning will make his first career start on Saturday when his Texas Longhorns play against the UL Monroe Warhawks. This comes after Manning scored five touchdowns when he filled in for Quinn Ewers, who left the Longhorns' win over the UTSA Roadrunners with an injury.
Playing as the starting quarterback for the first time can be a nerving prospect for many players. This is before you add on the additional pressure of playing for the No. 1 ranked team in the country and coming from a family that is considered football royalty.
In the build-up to what will be a historic game for Manning, former Florida Gators' QB and two-time national champion Tim Tebow spoke on Wednesday's edition of the "Saturday Down South" podcast and gave Arch Manning some advice.

"Do what (you've) been doing for a long time. Don't let the pressure build."
Arch Manning was a five-star prospect coming out of Isidore Newman School in New Orleans and set numerous school records. Most of these were previously set by his uncles, Peyton and Eli Manning, who are considered two of the greatest QBs to ever play the game.
He was a highly sought-after prospect and ultimately committed to the Longhorns. He spent most of his first season on the sidelines and made sporadic appearances in blowout games. His lack of playing time led some to think that Manning would transfer to another program where he could become the starter quicker than he would at Texas.
However, he decided to stay and started this season on the sidelines as the backup of Ewers. But an injury to Ewers has resulted in Arch Manning being named the starting QB.
During the Week 3 game against UTSA, Manning shined as he threw for 223 yards and scored five touchdowns, including a 67-yard rushing TD. His performance proved that he is as good as advertised.
For now, he has a chance to build on the momentum and show the college football world that Texas has two strong QBs on their roster.
Steve Sarkisian praises Arch Manning
Texas coach Steve Sarkisian praised Arch Manning for his performance during the win against the Roadrunners.
“There's nothing like being in the game and playing, and playing in front of 105,000 people is not the easiest thing to do. I was really proud of Arch and what he was able to do," Sarkisian said during the postgame press conference.
His comments highlighted that Arch Manning came through despite all eyes set on him, not just those who were at the stadium, but all Longhorns fans who watched the game.
The Longhorns are at home and will face a significantly weaker team in Week 4, and Manning should be able to replicate the success he had the previous week.
