Pat McAfee is known for his extroverted personality and fun demeanor. He is often the loudest person on the panel when College GameDay is on TV, and that was the case again on Wednesday morning. In the leadup to three big college football playoff matchups later in the day, Pat McAfee and the other hosts were joking around with each other.

However, amongst the jokes, Pat McAfee had something nice to say about his co-host Nick Saban, the former head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide. He said Saban should have a position running college football.

"This is gonna become a thing. This guy (pointing at Nick Saban) needs to be running college ball. We all understand that and now he's gonna be like, "no the doofus with the belt buckle is the one" (referring to himself). No one's gonna believe it. The world needs it, the world needs an escape too by the way like, and college football has been delivering all year."

What game are Pat McAfee and College GameDay covering on Wednesday?

While Wednesday is set to be an exciting day of games with three second-round college football playoff matchups, College GameDay will only cover one game. Pat McAfee and the rest of the crew will cover the second game of the day, the Rose Bowl between the No. 1-ranked and undefeated Oregon Ducks (13-0) and No. 6-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes (11-2).

This will be the fifth time this season College GameDay has covered a Buckeyes game, including the second week in a row. The crew was in Ohio for their first-round matchup against Tennessee, where the Buckeyes won 42-17 in decisive fashion. Ohio State has been featured on College GameDay more than any other team, with this game marking its 64th appearance on the show.

Heading into the game, even though Oregon has an undefeated record, Ohio State is a slight favorite to win the game. The Buckeyes are consensus -138 favorites to win, whereas the Ducks are consensus +117 underdogs. However, with those odds, it should be a close game. The spread is only set at 2.5 points.

A big storyline heading into the game that Pat McAfee and the rest of the panel will likely cover is the failure of head coach Ryan Day in big games. Throughout his tenure with the Buckeyes, he only has a record of 4-6 against top-five teams. So, it will be interesting to see if he can help them hand Oregon its first loss of the year.
