EA College Football 25 put out its first title update on Thursday. The goal of the update was to fix some of the biggest issues, and while some of them were resolved, other bugs are causing different problems for players.
The first new issue affects Dynasty mode. When users visit the Scheme and Playbook section of the Coach menu to change their playbooks, player archetypes and overall ratings change based on the scheme selected. Because of this bug, players can only change their scheme and playbook in the Edit Coach section of the menu without affecting player ratings.
The next issue comes up when College Football 25 users try to make changes in the offseason. Users can change the position of some players, but due to the bug that is no longer a possibility for certain players.

Freshmen no longer appear in the Change Positions screen. So, if the user recruits an athlete, they will not be able to assign them to a position from this screen. Instead, they must go to the Edit Player menu via the View Roster option. This process takes longer than simply visiting the Position Changes page when it is functioning properly.
The last issue is minor comparatively, but is still a problem that needs fixing. With the update, annual nonconference games do not rotate from one year to the next properly. Instead, teams get stuck with the same nonconference games every year.
Modes and features fixed in College Football 25 latest update
Although College Football 25's first title update caused some bugs, it also had some additions and fixes that should improve the player experience. Eight new shotgun formations were added for 35 teams, and several issues were fixed, including:
- Improvements to AI quarterback behavior
- Improvements to offensive line behavior
- Reduced the frequency of trailing defenders breaking tackles
Several fixes for College Football 25's Dynasty mode were also implemented, including an issue that limited the number of coaches users could create. There was also an issue where wear and tear did not recover properly, resulting in many team injuries. Various fixes for screens such as box scores, news stories and playoff brackets were also implemented.
In Road to Glory, an issue relating to players maxing out skill points after one practice was addressed. Several crashing and UI issues were also resolved.
Ultimate Team was the last College Football 25 game mode with major updates. Players experienced visual issues with player portraits, but those have now been resolved. Crashing issues during halftime were fixed, too. Fixes were also made to remove connectivity issues when two players tried to join the same game.
