Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders takes his responsibilities seriously. Coach Prime does not only work to improve the talent of his players on the field but also believes in preparing youngsters for the tough life ahead.

On the occasion of Father's Day, Deion Sanders posted a video of himself giving a thought-provoking speech to his Colorado players and their parents. He accompanied the post with a caption about how being a father is an everyday process and not just a one-time responsibility.

"FATHERHOOD. It's just not today. It's EVERYDAY #CoachPrime," Sanders wrote

In the video, Deion Sanders addresses the players' fathers. He has a heart-to-heart conversation with them about how one of their key priorities in life should be to raise their kids into responsible adults.

He also emphasizes how they should not replicate their own childhood and talks about how he hired his coaching staff because they were "great fathers."

"You got a tremenduous responsibility. That's to raise a young man or a young woman. Not necessarily the way you was raised but the way you seem fit, and doing the best thing for them. And that includes sacrifices.
"The thing that I love about this coaching staff is I would not hire them if they weren't great fathers. That's the consistency, that's the commonality that we share."

Deion Sanders once shared some words of wisdom for high school athletes

In 2018, the Colorado head coach took to social media to share some thought-provoking advice with high school athletes transitioning into college. Deion Sanders advised these young players to focus on building good ethics and academics and honing their sports talents instead of chasing high-paying offers.

"ATTENTION ALL HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES please stop CHASING offers and chase GREATNESS! Chase a 3.5gpa or better. Chase good manners, Chase Character, Chase the Passing SAT & ACT score and Chase the Lord because u gon need him."

Coach Prime still follows his advice of having an overall assessment of young talents. Being skilled in a sport is one thing, but if you are not a good human being, it can affect your success in the future.
