The USC Trojans continued their disappointing season with a 26-21 loss to the Washinton Huskies on Saturday. It was their fourth loss in five games, with only a 42-20 win over Rutgers during that stretch. Despite being ranked as high as No. 11 as October began, USC now sits near the bottom of the Big Ten standings.

With USC's hopes of a playoff appearance gone, fans are looking for change. Many have started to call for Trojans coach Lincoln Riley to be fired.

Several fans took to X to express their feelings.

"Lincoln Riley is officially a fraud. Back to seasons with 5 losses and he may not make a bowl game. He stood on the shoulders of what Stoops built, but he can’t build on his own. This is year 3 and they are worse than year 2.Waste of 100 million," one fan wrote.
"The farther he got from stoops players and culture the worse he has been. He doesn’t know how to build a program or culture. Should’ve heard the behind the scenes in Norman in what that culture looked like," one fan commented.
"One of most overrated coaches in the history of college football," one fan added.

One fan even believes Riley should resign.

"Lincoln Riley should be ashamed. If he had any self respect he would do what he said and resign since he’s shown he has no idea what he’s doing. A total fraud," one fan wrote.
"Riley is the personification of 2010s football. In the 10s, when the spread was still novel, a good QB and a couple WRs could get you a conference title. But defenses have caught up. He’s still a good OC but you need more now to be a head coach," one fan commented.
"He’s a offensive coordinator turned head coach he been a fraud," one fan added.

USC gets an open week before finishing its season

After its loss to Washington (5-4, 3-3 Big Ten), USC (4-5, 2-5) will have an open week to rest and recover before it attempts to close out its season on a positive note. The Trojans play Nebraska (5-4, 2-4) next on Nov. 16. They will finish their season with games against UCLA and No. 10-ranked Notre Dame (7-1, 0-0 FBS Independent). Although the playoffs are not a possibility anymore, they will play for pride.
