Mike Norvell has seemingly driven Florida State fans to their boiling point after the Seminoles’ 52-3 defeat to Notre Dame.

The Fighting Irish steamrolled FSU in every aspect of the game. They recorded 453 total yards to FSU's mere 208. This was the program's worst loss in history—a blow that ties with previous record-breaking defeats in 2018 and 1973.

With FSU now staring at an abysmal 1-9 record after enjoying an undefeated season last year, fans took to social media to demand the dismissal of Seminoles coach Mike Norvell.

One fan took to X and wrote:

"Fire Mike Norvell candles on the way😒"

Another said:

"Smells like fraud and under achievement."
"If Mike Norvell had any decency at all, he would own up to this atrocity of a season and resign/return the money. I couldn’t look myself in the mirror knowing I took that kind of money and put this 💩 show on the field," wrote another.
One X user tweeted: "Yikes!! Fire this clown, already!! 😬"
Another commented, "I’m done. Norvell has ran this program straight into the ground in record breaking time. Not even one full season after going 13-1."
One user joked: "I live in constant fear that Donald Trump will deport Mike Norvell, an immigrant who lives in Tallahassee, FL and spends most of his days at the Coyle E Moore athletic facility. He will be flying back there tonight from South Bend, Indiana."

This loss once again exposed the Seminoles' offensive and defensive struggles. It also put Norvell’s decision-making under a harsh spotlight as the team continued its losing streak in Indiana.

Mike Norvell admits Notre Dame showing was not "acceptable"

The 52-3 blowout loss is the third consecutive game FSU has lost by such a margin when playing in Indiana. Addressing reporters after the game, Norvell said:

“We had opportunities; I thought there were moments where we had space, but we weren’t able to finish plays. Obviously, for our football team, we all expect better. We understand that’s not acceptable.”

Analyzing the shortcomings of his team in the week 11 matchup, Norvell continued:

“Disappointing performance, outcome—really all three phases got beat. They did a good job in their execution of their game plan, creating explosive plays, and we lacked them offensively. We gave up too many TFLs. Third downs, once again, were a challenge for us.”

Frustration is mounting among FSU supporters. They are left questioning whether Norvell can bring the program back to its former glory—or if it's time for a change in Tallahassee.
