Shedeur Sanders couldn't lead the Colorado Buffaloes to a win against the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Week 2 following his heroics in the season opener. Nebraska beat Colorado 28-10 at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, creating a setback for Deion Sanders’ team on their route to redemption.
Ahead of Colorado's Week 3 game against in-state rivals Colorado State, Shedeur Sanders explained how the Buffs will prepare for the game on a recent episode of “2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders” podcast. The Buffaloes beat the Rams last season and will hope to repeat that in Week 3:
“Just go back and re-watch the film, [see] where we went wrong and understand how cool this team is. Probably do the same thing because they were able to hold us to very little number of points. So you just go back to rewatch that and fix the flaw where you had," Sanders said.
“You just make sure you get everybody involved and other than that, you just prepare normally. Watch the film, go walk-throughs, you got to practice, watch the film over and over. Watch it with the position groups and get the team back together," he added.

Shedeur Sanders believes knowing Colorado State as a team is crucial
Following the disappointing defeat to Nebraska in Week 2, Shedeur Sanders believes there's a need to know the current Rams’ team ahead of the game. Just like it proved to be with the Cornhuskers, the Buffaloes' win in 2023 has nothing to do with this season's encounter:
“Going into CSU, you really got to understand them as a team. You know their pros and cons, like what they're good at and what they're not good at, and understand the probability of everything that's going to happen” Sanders continued. “Just make sure the read ls and everything is there, and make sure you get the ball out and the small things like that.”

Shedeur Sanders led Colorado to a win in the Rocky Mountain Showdown last season. The Buffaloes won 43-35 in double overtime as the quarterback threw for 348 yards and four touchdowns with one interception. He will hope to replicate that performance at the weekend.
