J.D. PicKell of On3 Sports discussed Texas’ prospects in 2024 during "The Hard Count with J.D. PicKell":

"I think Texas is built perfectly for modern college football. They have a quarterback whisperer at head coach."

PicKell sees coach Sarkisian’s brilliance as a crucial piece for Texas' success.

"Steve Sarkisian's got a resume that speaks for itself with previous quarterbacks he's worked with, like, he's going to get the quarterback right. And, one, that's gonna give you a chance to succeed every single Saturday. Two, that's going to attract top talent."
