Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders has gotten a lot of attention this season as one of the top quarterbacks in the 2025 NFL draft class. Most draft experts and pundits agree that he is one of the two best quarterbacks in the 2025 class alongside Miami's Cam Ward.

However, not everyone agrees. On Friday a former scout for the New York Jets, Daniel Kelly, posted a video of Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe and compared him to Shedeur Sanders. He wrote:

"Jalen Milroe is who everyone thinks Shedeur Sanders is."

The former scout for the New York Jets believes that Jalen Milroe does everything that most people say Sanders does. In the clip, Milroe shows off his dynamic running ability and picks up 41 yards for the Alabama Crimson Tide in a game against the Michigan Wolverines.

Jalen Milroe not widely viewed as top-2 QB; Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward make most experts' top 2

While Jalen Milroe is an immensely talented quarterback, most draft experts do not view him as a top-two quarterback. Most pundits view him as the third-best quarterback in the 2025 NFL draft class. Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward are viewed as the top two quarterbacks followed by Milroe.

However, there is an argument that Jalen Milroe has some of the most translatable skills for the NFL among the top three quarterbacks. He has an impressive ability to run with the ball and this has earned him comparisons to Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson. However, there are concerns among scouts that Milroe is not a good enough passer to be an elite quarterback in the NFL.

Conversely, scouts like Sanders because of his passing ability. He is often praised for his accuracy, even when he is running with the ball. Scouts give him credit for his excellent footwork and ability to pick apart a defense.

Some scouts have spoken about his ability to thrive under pressure. However, it is unclear if that narrative will stick around in the coming months since Sanders did not have a great game against BYU in the Alamo Bowl. Fans and experts are waiting to see if his bowl performance will have an impact on his draft stocks.
