Comedian Godfrey shared a bold message for Hunter on social media about his relationship with Leanna Lenee. In the video, Godfrey criticized Hunter's girlfriend for saying in a YouTube video that initially Hunter was "not her type."

"This message goes out to Travis Hunter. Listen, Travis, I just want you to be careful, man. Yeah, I said it, be careful," Godfrey said. "Congratulations on your engagement, but, man, you might have to disengage.

"Listen, you love who you love. Facts, got that. That's all logical. But something ain't right. I just watched that dumb video of you guys in those matching pajamas that bugged me, and she was like dogging you, going, 'Yeah, he wasn't my type.' I don't f***ing know what she is."

Hunter defended Leanna Lenne by asking Godfrey not to interfere in his relationship. The couple plan to marry next year before Hunter makes his professional transition to the NFL.
