Deion Sanders had no shortage of fans in the 1990s when he was in his Prime Time era. In Wednesday's episode of his talk show, "We Got Time Today," Sanders and co-host Rocsi Diaz interviewed former WWE stars The Bella Twins. One of them, Brie "Bella" Garcia opened up about a secret she had regarding the Pro Football Hall of Famer.
As she was growing up, Deion Sanders was her first celebrity crush. When asked by Rocsi Diaz to disclose her high school crush, Brie Garcia said:
"Well it was actually middle school, and it was you, Deion. You were my first celebrity crush"
"You should have told me that," Sanders said before standing up to hug Garcia.
Garcia continued:
"Hey! You want to know something crazy? ... OK, so, listen to this. We, so, our grandfather – this is for real – I was looking through, like, a box of my childhood photos, because I'm like, 'I need to find the picture of me in Deion's jersey,' but my grandfather, full-blooded Italian from South Philly, so, we're diehard Philadelphia Eagles fans, and it was very hard on my family, because they're like, 'Wait, she has Deion Sanders' Dallas Cowboys jersey."
Her sister, Nikki "Bella" Garcia, added that Brie had a Deion Sanders poster hung in her room when they were growing up.
"We Got Time Today" is a Tubi original that started airing in November in which Deion Sanders and Rocsi Diaz discuss news, entertainment and sports. Other guests have included Ice Cube, Michael Irvin and Kirk Franklin.
Deion Sanders on what would make him move to the NFL
In November, there was endless speculation regarding the possibility of Deion Sanders jumping to the NFL as a coach. At the time the conversation centered around the possibility of the Dallas Cowboys selecting Shedeur Sanders in the upcoming draft.
That speculation has died down, and the possibility of Dallas picking Shedeur Sanders is nonexistent. However, some still wonder if Sanders could return to the NFL. In an interview Wednesday on "GMA3: What You Need To Know," the Colorado coach named his price for returning to the NFL:
“You know what?” Sanders said. "The only way I would consider is to coach my sons.”
This could seem like a signal to the franchises out there with the power of selecting Shedeur and Shilo Sanders. In particular, it would seem he's signaling the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns and New York Giants (the teams most likely to draft Shedeur Sanders) that if they pick Shedeur and then Shilo, he would be in the market for their coaching jobs.
However, that won't be until late April, and teams will have hired coaches by then.
