On Friday, Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders enjoyed his 57th birthday. To celebrate, Coach Prime held a press conference before the Buffaloes season opens on Aug. 29 against North Dakota State.

During the press conference, Sanders covered various topics related to his team and private life. Here are four highlight moments from the conference.

Four highlight moments from Deion Sanders' recent press conference

Deion Sanders refuses to answer questions from CBS

Coaches and public figures have a history of snubbing reporters from specific broadcasters for numerous reasons. Deion Sanders now joins the club.

Eric Christensen, a local CBS affiliate reporter, asked Sanders a question. However, the NFL Hall of Famer abruptly cut him off and refused to answer any of his questions while stating:

"I’m not doing anything with CBS. Next question. . . . It ain’t got nothing to do with you. It’s above that. It ain’t got nothing to do with you. I’ve got love for you. I appreciate and respect you. It ain’t got nothing to do with you. They know what they did.”

Sanders gave no direct reason for his silence, but others state that his boycott of CBS comes from them ranking him as one of the worst coaches in the Big 12.

The Sponsored question

Another bizarre moment during the press conference occurred when Sanders turned the session into an advertisement for an insurance company he is sponsored by.

The conversation was started by a reporter, who, before asking her actual question, spoke about her past and how having coverage from that company helped her. The reporter then asked Sanders why everyone should use that company.

The Pat Narduzzi sub

Deion Sanders is currently beefing with Pittsburgh Panthers coach Pat Narduzzi. Their dispute concerns how Narduzzi disagrees with Sanders's treatment of his players and how he overhauled his roster.

The Buffaloes gained two former Panthers players in the transfer portal, which Sanders mentioned in his interview. However, Coach Prime did not mention Narduzzi by name when speaking about the signees.

“I want to thank the head coach from Pittsburgh for really preparing those young men for us. He did a great job. I love those two young men; hthey're really great players, and they're going to be pros. I heard someone took a shot at one of them verbally.” said Sanders

Deion Sanders is now a grandfather

Finally, Sanders made a personal announcement during the press conference: He is now a grandfather. Deion's daughter, Deiondra Sanders, recently gave birth to a son, and Sanders is over the moon about his newest family addition.
