Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders has waxed lyrical about Chicago Bears WR Devin Hester for his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Coach Prime was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2011, so he understands the emotion and gratitude one experiences when being honored with such an achievement.

In an Instagram post, Sanders celebrated the induction of Hester as a part of the 2024 Pro Football Hall of Fame class. In the video, Coach Prime gave Hester a long embrace before the latter went to the stage to receive his gold jacket.

The Colorado coach accompanied the video with some words of motivation while congratulating Devin Hester on joining the HOF club.

"Dreams really do come true with the right work ethic, passion, people & purpose. I've always Believed in you, and now they understand why. You've been a HOFer they just realized it. You're the GOAT! FROM GOAT 2 GOAT!," Deion Sanders wrote.

After finishing his collegiate career with the Miami Hurricanes, Devin Hester was drafted as the 57th overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears.

During his 11-season stint in the NFL, Hester played with the Bears, Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens and the Seattle Seahawks. He also becomes the only primary return specialist to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Deion Sanders once took shots at the quality of Hall of Fame inductees

In 2022, Well Off Media released a video where Coach Prime critiqued the Hall of Fame and its selection method.

The Colorado coach said that HOFers should be segregated with different colored jackets to differentiate those who are elite from ones who had good runs during their professional football careers.

Deion Sanders also said that his statue doesn't belong with some of the other players inducted into the Hall of Fame.

"The Hall of Fame ain't the Hall of Fame no more. I love it. I respect it. I admire it. I think all the guys who are inducted definitely are deserving. But it needs to be different colored jacket. My jacket got to be a different color," Sanders said.
"It needs to be a starting 11. It needs to be an upper room. My head don't belong with some of these other heads that's in the Hall of Fame. I'm sorry, I'm just being honest. I'm saying what you all thinking and a lot of y'all Hall of Famers are thinking the same thing. This thing is becoming a free-for-all now, man." (0:10 onwards)

Deion Sanders is arguably considered the best cornerback in NFL history, winning two Super Bowls and making it to six First-team All-Pro and eight Pro Bowls. While his achievements make him a worthy HOF inductee, do you agree with his take on the system?
