Deion Sanders' popularity once again brought a list of celebrities to Folsom Field to watch the Colorado vs. Stanford game of Week 7. Ever since Coach Prime took over as the head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, there have been numerous A-listers who make their way to watch the Prime Time effect live.
When Colorado went against USC at Folsom Field in week 5, the red carpet was rolled out for celebrities such as LeBron James, Jay Z, Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled, and others. Now, for the Colorado vs. Stanford game, we once again have a list of stars in attendance to get their own dose of the Prime Time effect.
After winning last weekend's away game against Arizona State, the Colorado vs. Stanford home game for the Buffs once again draws in a sold-out crowd at their stadium. This time, the celebrities who are walking the red carpet in Colorado include comedian Cedric the Entertainer, musician and actor Luke Grimes, as well as actor Anthony Anderson.
Apart from them, even former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck was at Folsom Field for the Colorado vs. Stanford game. Luck played for the Cardinals during his college football career from 2008 to 2011 (9,430 passing yards and 82 TD passes). He was then drafted as the first overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Colts.
Andrew Luck may be there to show his support for his alma mater. But the other celebrities all share a good bond with Coach Prime. Sanders' effect on the Colorado program has been through the roof, which is also adding value to their branding and marketing.
Anthony Anderson explains why he's made his way to support Sanders for the Colorado vs Stanford showdown
Anderson and Deion Sanders have been friends for a long time. This is one of the reason why the actor made his way to Folsom Field for the late-night Colorado vs. Stanford showdown. During an interview on the sidelines, Anderson talked about why he's such a big supporter of Coach Prime.
"It's more than football for him. It's about family, it's about community, it's about everything. And so, that's what's important", Anderson said.
If Colorado wins, then they are one step closer to becoming Bowl-eligible for this season.
