These two teams met earlier this season on Oct. 19, with Georgia coming out on top. The Bulldogs defeated the Longhorns 30-15, giving Texas their lone loss of the season.
Each defense showed out in the first half, with Texas taking a 6-3 lead into the locker rooms at halftime on the back of two field goals.
A surge in the third quarter helped Georgia take a 13-6 lead into the fourth quarter. Texas outscored the Bulldogs 10-3 in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 16-16, forcing overtime.
In overtime, Georgia held Texas to a 32-yard field goal on their opening drive of the period before Trevor Etienne punched in a short rushing touchdown to give the Bulldogs a 22-19 win. The Bulldogs clinched a spot in the College Football Playoff and secured their second conference title in three seasons.

Georgia vs. Texas: Game Summary
After tossing an interception on the game's opening drive, Texas forced a punt before marching 64 yards in nine plays to take a 3-0 lead after a 41-yard field goal. The Longhorns forced another punt on the ensuing drive and kicked a second field goal to take a 6-0 lead.
Georgia responded with a 44-yard field goal with 6:32 remaining in the first half to cut Texas' lead to 6-3 entering the locker rooms at halftime.
Georgia opened the second half with a 10-play, 75-yard drive capped off by a 10-yard touchdown rush from Trevor Etienne, giving the Bulldogs their first lead of the day at 10-6. The teams exchanged punts before Georgia responded after Texas missed a field goal, kicking a field goal of their own to extend their lead to 13-6 entering the fourth quarter.
A 41-yard pitch-and-catch from Quinn Ewers to DeAndre Moore Jr. tied the game up at 13-13. Georgia mustered a 21-yard field goal to take a 16-13 lead with 4:32 remaining. An exchange of interception passes set up the Longhorns for a game-tying field goal, sending the game to overtime at 16-16.
Texas took a 19-16 lead in overtime following a 32-yard field goal.
