Edge rusher Samuel M'Pemba has left the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs for the Texas A&M Aggies. On3's Hayes Fawcett reported on Monday on X/Twitter that M'Pemba was transferring to his new team. M'Pemba reposted a tweet from On3's transfer portal account to confirm that he will be with Texas A&M next season.

The edge rusher joined the Bulldogs for his freshman year last season and made six tackles in a backup role. M'Pemba returned to Georgia this season, hoping to play a more prominent role. However, he only played in four games and didn't record any tackles. The move to the Aggies may allow the defensive player to start in more games.

Texas A&M retains linebacker Scooby Williams for next season

The Texas A&M Aggies were also able to secure Scooby Williams to return next year. Williams has the fourth-most tackles on the team, ending the regular season with a total of 43 tackles, 23 solo tackles and one interception. In his last game, Williams had one tackle in Texas A&M's 17-7 loss to the No. 5 Texas Longhorns on Nov. 30.

The Aggies' decision to recruit Samuel M'Pemba and secure Williams could help improve the team's defensive ability. In addition, they'll also have linebacker Taurean York for his junior year. York led the team in tackles, with 75 (33 solo) along with one interception.

"This is the best place to play": Taurean York on helping recruit players to join the Aggies

In a news conference on Tuesday, York spoke with the media about helping his coaches recruit new players from the transfer portal.

"The coaches, they're always going to ask me to host or spend time with the recruits, you know?" York said (Timestamp: 0:39). "So, I spend time with them. I just tell them what it is. I call it how it is. I tell them the truth, you know?
"I tell them that this is the best place to play. Kyle Field is second to none. You're going to be surrounded by great players and great coaches. So, I mean, who wouldn't want to be here at Texas A&M?"
