Georgia Bulldogs defensive back Malaki Starks had some news to share with his followers ahead of his team's game against the Florida Gators this week. The junior defensive back got engaged to his longtime girlfriend Savanna Jackson.
On Monday, Starks announced the news on Instagram. He shared a photo of himself getting down on one knee to propose to Jackson. According to the caption, they got engaged on Oct. 25.
"Oct 25th -stamped Beyond blessed to be on this journey with you forever and always," Starks wrote in the caption.
Savanna Jackson also took to Instagram to share her feelings:
"october 25 🖤💍my person forever and ever and ever," she wrote in her caption.
Malaki Starks received congratulatory messages from his teammates, including cornerback Daylen Everette, wide receiver Dillon Bell and tight end Oscar Delp.

The Georgia Bulldogs and the Texas Longhorns clashed in Week 8 in one of the biggest SEC matchups of the season. At the time, the Bulldogs were ranked No. 5, while Texas was No. 1.
Savanna turned up at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in a custom outfit, sporting No. 24, the jersey number of Starks.
She wore a light blue denim romper with "24" printed on the shorts. The white cowboy hat on top of her head added a classic "Texas" style to her overall look.

Malaki Starks' team registered a convincing 30-15 win after scoring 23 unanswered first-half points. The Bulldogs defense was all over the Longhorns, who struggled to score.
Starks recorded seven total tackles, with five solo and two assisted. He has appeared in every game this season, recording 39 total tackles, including 26 solo, while also registering one interception.
