Colorado's two-way star Travis Hunter has had a tough few weeks with a nagging shoulder injury after improving his Heisman Trophy rankings with stellar performances earlier in the season.

He was withdrawn as a precaution at halftime during the Buffaloes' 34-7 win against the Arizona Wildcats in Week 8.

Colorado coach Deion Sanders updated in his weekly press conference that the two-way star is fit for the Week 9 clash against the Cincinnati Bearcats. Off the gridiron, the $3.3 million NIL-valued Hunter (as per On3) was in good spirits on Friday, posting a picture of his new Nike shoes on Instagram.

The post was aimed at his teammates, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and his two brothers, Deion Sanders Jr. and Shilo Sanders. Hunter captioned the post:

"Got something y'all don't got @deionsandersjr @shedeursanders @shilosanders," Travis Hunter wrote.

Travis Hunter continues to sign significant NIL deals

Travis Hunter has capitalized on his proximity to the Deion Sanders brand, allying it with his exceptional two-way status to become one of the most marketable student-athletes in college sports.

Hunter is currently ranked No. 2 among college football players and No. 3 overall on On3's NIL 100 rankings, trailing only LSU Tigers athlete Olivia Dunne and teammate Shedeur Sanders on the list.

The Buffs star has lucrative endorsement deals with brands like United Airlines, Celsius, JLab and NerdWallet, among others.

Despite his whopping NIL valuation, Hunter showed that he is not solely focused on NIL opportunities.

He shared advice on his "Travis Hunter Show" with UNLV Rebels quarterback Matthew Sluka, who opted to enter the transfer portal over unfulfilled NIL promises.

"Buddy, if I'm you, I'm trying to get to the NFL," Hunter said "NIL can wait. I know it happened to a lot of your teammates, but I'm out there ballin' on that field. I need all of the film I can get. Every piece of bit of the film. ... It's not about the NIL, it's about the NFL.
"Because I know if I would have went to go transfer somewhere else, could have got a major amount of money, but it ain't about the money. It's about getting to the NFL. The NFL going to set you for life. NIL can only set you for a moment," he added.

ESPN draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. has named Travis Hunter one of the top picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. His draft stock keeps skyrocketing with each passing week.
