The Colorado Buffaloes are closing up their season and things have gotten emotive. Deion Sanders Jr., who has been recording many moments of this season of Colorado football, was moved by a recent speech from the Buffs' defensive ends coach.
Coach Vincent Dancy's speech included the following emotional excerpt, dedicated to departing players:
“I’m proud, I love you guys … Through it all bro, everybody sacrificed and gave up something in order for the team to be successful. … Everybody in this room participated and that’s what I look back on and say, ‘Man, it was a hell of a team. It was a hell of a ride. It was hell of a journey.'
“Many coaches, man, I’m proud of you guys, man, for everything you poured into these young men. For everything. Every morning showing up, working late, the hours you put in.”
The entire speech was posted to Deion Sanders Jr's YouTube channel, "Well Off Media." Beyond that, Sanders Jr. also posted his remarks about the speech, which went like this:
"Tweet to myself a minute ago.. that’s why Coach Dancy’s speech had me turnt tf up today"
The post included a repost of an old, 2019, tweet of Deion Sanders Jr. to himself, asking his future self to keep faith in himself:
"Just thinking about it... @DeionSandersJr you are one of the best young designers out here! You’re great dawg.. a young 🐐. Don’t get discouraged. The world will see your greatness one day"
It seems Deion Sanders Jr. has taken coach Dancy's message to heart.
