Connor Stalions was at the center of Michigan's alleged sign-stealing scandal, which came to light after an investigation in October last offseason. He reportedly ran a scouting operation that violated NCAA rules, possibly giving the Wolverines an unfair advantage. Almost a year later, it appears that college football fans have not forgotten about the former offensive analyst.

Similar to this aforementioned scandal, it was reported that Canada's women's soccer team used drones to spy on some New Zealand training sessions ahead of their 2024 Paris Olympics matchup on Thursday. In response, Canada's analyst Joseph Lombardi and assistant coach Jasmine Mander left the team and returned home.

Upon hearing the news, fans on X/Twitter hilariously drew comparisons to Stalions' scandal. The former staffer was suspended in October of last year and later stepped down from his position. Regarding this, one fan tweeted:

"Happy to see Connor Stalions has found work"
"Oh Canada, what have you done? Apparently pull a 'Connor Stalions' on a rival women's soccer team by flying a drone over their practice. Anything short of banning falls short," tweeted another.
"Connor Stalions and video equipment. This year is gonna be a wakeup call for the cheaters," tweeted a third.

A barrage of similar reactions continued flooding in.

"Shoulda hired Connor Stalions," tweeted another user.
"Connor Stalions might need a job." another tweeted.
"We’re so cooked Canada hired Connor Stalions," another fan tweeted.

Stalions worked voluntarily as Michigan football's offensive analyst after graduating from the Naval Academy. He won the January Soldier Coach of the Month in 2022 and opened up about his soft corner for the Wolverines in January of the same year:

“I’ve grown up my entire life with a vision to coach football at Michigan. I stopped playing football junior year of high school to coach with my dad’s eighth grade football team. Then I decided to go to the Naval Academy after high school, where I student-coached with the football staff." [H/T Soldiers to Sidelines]

When is Connor Stalions' Netflix documentary releasing?

Stalions resigned from his post at Michigan in November 2023, a month after the team suspended him for his involvement in the alleged sign-stealing scandal. As per reports, he is expected to feature in the Netflix series "Untold" next month. The fourth season will include an episode titled "Sign Stealer," which will be released on August 27, documenting the scandal.

Many fans are eager to hear Stalions' side of the story on the incident that shook college football last season.
