Sanders’ Buffs struggled offensively against the Cougars, managing only 210 total yards and two rushing yards. In the postgame conference, Coach Prime said:
“Hats off to the Valero Alamo and all the dignitaries that made it possible for us to be here. It was a phenomenal week for us. We’re not happy with the results, but we’re happy with the journey.”
Sanders also praised BYU coach Kalani Sitake, calling him a “good man.”
“If I’m going to get my b*tt kicked, I’d rather get my b*tt kicked by that coach. I love him to life.”
