The Travis Hunter saga has taken yet another turn, this time featuring JUCO legend Jason Brown, better known as Coach JB. The chaos surrounding Hunter’s personal life isn’t settling down as Brown slammed former NFL star Dez Bryant for publicly airing his opinions about Hunter’s fiancée instead of addressing him privately.
“These guys are all connected in the same circle," Brown said on "The Realest Show" on Monday (Timestamp: 1:12). "Dez Bryant played for the Cowboys. I guarantee he had Deion Sanders’ number. I guarantee he could have reached out to Travis Hunter privately and told him what he tweeted out publicly.”
The drama started late on X last week when Bryant commented on Shedeur Sanders’ post defending Travis Hunter against opportunistic influencers. Bryant said he was coming from a “genuine place” and talking out of experience. The 36-year-old former NFL wide receiver also tweeted that Hunter’s fiancée, Leanna Lenee, “is not the 1.”
This came after old photos and rumors alleging infidelity by Lenee surfaced online, turning social media into a breeding ground for unsolicited opinions. Coach JB wasn’t having it. He pointed out that it’s a toxic cycle of clout-chasing and unnecessary drama, something Hunter didn’t need during one of the biggest weeks of his career. He believes the focus should remain on Hunter’s on-field success, not the noise surrounding his private life.
What did Dez Bryant say on Travis Hunter-Leanna Lenee drama?
The Heisman Trophy celebration for Colorado two-way sensation Travis Hunter has been cut short because of internet noise surrounding his fiancée, Leanna Lenee. As he prepares for his final collegiate game in the Valero Alamo Bowl on Saturday, his life continues to spiral off the field.
A viral video from the post-Heisman ceremony showing Leanna seemingly annoyed with Hunter’s fan interactions paved the way for online scrutiny of their relationship.
Additionally, old clips and posts resurfaced, including a music video where Leanna Lenee hugged a rapper, allegedly filmed during their relationship timeline.
Watching this, former NFL Pro Bowler Dez Bryant gave his scathing take:
“I've tried my best not to get into Travis' business, but I had to after seeing this. I'm here to tell you brother, wake up and quit playing. She talked all the sh*t about you, saying she was going to address the situation once, but kept talking about it…”
“From what I see, she has nothing to offer but a f***ing headache. What you got to offer...she's not the 1.”
While the drama continues, Travis Hunter remains focused on football. The two-way sensation is just days away from facing No. 17 BYU (10-2) in what could be a thrilling Alamo Bowl matchup.
