“He’ll make more TikTok videos”: CFB fans left unimpressed as Carson Beck arrives at GF Hanna Cavinder’s Miami campus

New Miami Hurricanes quarterback Carson Beck arrived on campus this Saturday. Beck will be playing his final season of college football with the Canes in 2025, filling the spot left by Heisman finalist Cam Ward.

However, there is another reason fans think he chose to finish his playing career at “The U.” Hanna Cavinder, Carson’s girlfriend, also studies there.

Hanna and her twin sister, Haley, are social media personalities. They also play college basketball at the University of Miami.

After news of Carson Beck’s arrival at Coral Gables broke out, fans shared their thoughts on X, formerly known as Twitter. Some wondered how his interactions with Cavinder would happen.

"He’ll make more TikTok videos than he’ll throw for touchdowns," a fan said.

"Crazy how he took the brace off for that tiktok," a fan posted.

Other fans focused on Beck’s arm. He could be seen wearing a brace as he was walking on campus. The former Georgia quarterback suffered a UCL injury in the SEC Championship Game against Texas, which ended his season.

"Nice elbow brace. Notice that?" a fan added.

"Did buddy have Tommy John surgery or something?" another fan wrote.

Other wondered how Carson Beck will do at Miami after having played for some of the most talented teams in the nation during his time in Athens.

"Without that Bulldogs Offense and Defense It will be interesting," a fan said.

"With Miami's O-Line, that might be the last time you see him upright..." another fan mentioned.

Why did Carson Beck return for one more season of college football?

Before the start of the season, Carson Beck was considered a Heisman candidate and projected to be among the top quarterbacks selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. However, he had a difficult senior season at Georgia, leading the SEC in interceptions.

The Jacksonville, Florida native fell out of the top quarterback group according to draft analysts, but the main issue may be the injury in the SEC Championship. The elbow injury would surely affect his draft stock, and his recovery time would keep him out of pre-draft activities.

By going to Miami, he can help his draft projection for 2026, like Cam Ward did after transferring from Washington State. If Beck has a successful season, he could raise his stock once again.

The 2026 draft class could potentially be headlined by Texas' Arch Manning, South Carolina's LaNorris Sellers, Tennessee's Nico Iamalaeva and LSU's Garrett Nussmeier.
