Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders lent his well wishes for Utah QB Cam Rising following his latest injury scare. However, Coach Prime was duped with fake reports circulating that the Utah QB suffered a serious injury. And without checking the facts, he tweeted a message for Rising, giving him his well wishes for his recovery.

However, Coach Prime caught up with the fake news that was circulating about Rising's injury. In the follow-up tweet that Sanders shared, he talked about how he was worried that Cam Rising injured himself again.

The Utah QB received a medical redshirt last season for rehabbing from the ACL injury he suffered during the 2022 Rose Bowl game against Penn State. Coach Prime offered his well wishes to the QB.

"I was really bothered by thinking this kid (Cam Rising) was hurt again. God bless the trolls. They're pretty good at what they do. Still God bless this young man & I do think he's awesome for what he's endured.

During the game against the Baylor Bears, Rising injured his finger, leading to him missing out on the second half of the game. Despite his absence, the Utah Utes managed to secure a 23-12 victory.

Rising began his collegiate career with the Texas Longhorns in 2018. After redshirting his freshman season, he transferred to Utah the next season. During his stint with the Utes, he has recorded 5,918 passing yards and 53 touchdowns.

College football insider provides update on Cam Rising's injury

Initially, Rising's injury was not declared as serious and he was expected to return to the field for the game against Utah State on Saturday, September 14.

But on Thursday, college football insider Brett McMurphy reported that Cam Rising is 'unlikely' to play against Utah State and is expected to return for the Utah vs Oklahoma State showdown.

"Utah QB Cam Rising 'unlikely' to play Saturday at Utah State, sources told @ActionNetworkHQ. Rising suffered a finger injury on his throwing hand last week, but nothing is broken & he's expected to return next week vs. Oklahoma State, source said." via McMurphy's X post.

With Rising most likely to be benched against Utah State, the responsibility will fall on backup QB Isaac Wilson. He replaced Rising in the game against Baylor following his injury and completed 4-of-9 passes he attempted for 30 passing yards.

It will be interesting to see how well he performs as the starting QB of the team. Can the Utes continue their winning streak despite the absence of their starting QB?
