College football fans had mixed reactions to Shedeur Sanders' latest comment about the NFL draft. The Colorado Buffaloes quarterback could potentially be the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
There has been speculation that Sanders won't go to certain teams. However, he said that isn't the case, as he knows he will be successful wherever he goes.
"I love it," Sanders said on his podcast on Tuesday when asked what he thought about the Titans picking No. 1 overall.
"I've been doing a lot of thinking. What's meant to happen is going to happen. I don't feel like God would put me in a place I'm not supposed to go. We've made it everywhere we've gone and been successful. ... I'm happy with the order. Whatever happens happens."
After Sanders' comment, some college football fans were torn on the former Colorado Buffaloes' quarterback.
"Legendary!," a fan wrote.
"He’s not going to be good," another fan added.
Some fans were critical of Sanders for his comment, which other fans didn't seem to think about.
"So now he knows that scouts hate him, so he’s deciding to not be nit picky anymore. What a fraud!," a fan wrote.
"He’s not gonna be good with this kinda attitude," a fan added.
Sanders is expected to be a top pick in the draft.
"Now let’s see what happens when that place you go isn’t an HBCU or a below average Big12 school," a fan wrote.
"Making fcs Jackson state successful is not the flex you think it’s bro," a fan added.
Sanders has the second-best odds of going first overall at +120, which implies a 45.5% chance of being selected first overall.
Mock draft has Shedeur Sanders going third overall
Shedeur Sanders will be in the conversation to be selected first overall by the Tennessee Titans.
However, in CBS Sports' latest mock draft, they have the Titans selecting Cam Ward first overall. The mock draft then has the Cleveland Browns selecting Travis Hunter second overall before Sanders going third overall to the New York Giants.
"The Giants are desperate for a quarterback addition," the article read. "They probably would take whichever option was left over."
The Giants seem like the most likely landing spot for Sanders.
