Jalen Milroe continued his brilliant start to life under Kalen DeBoer on Saturday as he led Alabama to another emphatic victory in a non-conference game. The Crimson Tide blew out Wisconsin at the Camp Randall Stadium in Madison in a Week 3 encounter that ended 42-10.

His performance was noteworthy as he completed 12 of 17 passes for 196 yards and three touchdowns. The quarterback also showed his prowess on the ground, rushing for 75 yards and two touchdowns, as Alabama claimed an impressive road victory.

Kalen DeBoer praised the brilliant performance from Jalen Milroe after the game in Madison. This marks another series of good words the quarterback has earned from the coach since he took over from Nick Saban in Tuscaloosa earlier this year.

“He’s huge. Just the threat and the way he manipulates the defense and how they have to play us,” Kalen DeBoer told Fox. “Eyes are in the backfield, you don’t know where he’s going to be. He can take off and run any time, but he’s making the plays with his arm through the air today, too.”

Jalen Milroe explained why Alabama dominated the Wisconsin game

The Crimson Tide led the game in each of the four quarters, dominating all phases of the encounter. Jalen Milroe gave a detailed explanation of how they were able to put out the astonishing performance in Madison.

“I think the biggest thing we didn’t do was get complacent," Milroe said. "Every rep we had, we tried to maximize as much as possible, and trying to have the 1-0 mentality each and every time we got on the field.”
“It wasn’t perfect, but we did a really good job uplifting each other on the sideline. Then, when we got on the field, it was all about attacking the task at hand, which was 1-0 and build great drives.”

Milroe also praised the Alabama offensive line while speaking to Fox after the game on Saturday. The protection he's had in the backfield this season looks like an improvement from the last, making him more confident in making his decisions while suffering fewer sacks.

Alabama proceeds on a bye in Week 4 before opening their conference schedule against Georgia in Week 5. Kalen DeBoer's first game in the Southeastern Conference is expected to be difficult and he will be counting on the brilliance of Jalen Milroe to secure a memorable win.
