"He still talking reckless": Former Alabama star Damien Harris jokingly reacts to Nick Saban's viral comment about Vanderbilt 

Former Alabama running back Damien Harris added more fun to Nick Saban's jab at Vanderbilt's football program in Nashville. The former Alabama coach was critical of the program, saying it is the only place in the SEC where that's not hard to play.

Saban, who has toured Nashville many times over the years, feels the fanbase favors the visiting team more than the home team in Nashville.

"The only place you're going to play in the SEC that's not hard to play, Vanderbilt. When you play at Vanderbilt, you have more fans there than they have, and that's no disrespect to them, it's the truth," Saban said via The Pat McAfee Show.

Damien Harris, who won two national championships with Alabama, recalled one game where the Crimson Tide crushed the Vanderbilt Commodores 59-0 in the 2017 SEC opener.

"That 59-0 beatdown in Nashville wasn't enough for old man he still talking reckless," Harris wrote in his Instagram story.

The game Damien Harris was talking about was Alabama's SEC opener in the 2017 season. A big reason why Harris remembers this game so well is because of the unique way Nick Saban motivated the team.

While Saban usually has some words to say before the game, against Vandy he just ran a tape that fueled the Crimson Tide players.

It was an interview of Vanderbilt Commodores defensive lineman Nifae Lealoe, who was riding high in confidence, saying:

"Alabama, you're next."

Damien Harris recalled the incident and shared how Nick Saban used that tape to motivate his players indirectly.

"I kid you not, the first meeting that we had, Coach Saban just played that, and then we left," Harris said on the Until Saturday podcast. "We didn't say a word. We just went out to practice. Like this is the only game ever that Coach Saban never said a word before the game."

Harris, who was a junior running back on the team, led the rushing attack with 151 yards on 12 carries and three touchdowns.
