Coach Prime might not work alongside Shedeur Sanders at Colorado anymore, but the Buffs coach still finds ways to troll his son. When Shedeur tweeted a message for his haters, Deion, who often aims cheeky digs at his family members, was at it again on Monday.
"Don't allow my confidence to offend your insecurities," Shedeur tweeted regarding some of the recent criticism he received after his final game for CU.
However, Deion responded witty.
"I heard that at the family dinner."
The No. 20 Buffs qualified for a bowl game after finishing the regular season with a 9-3 record. They were even in contention to play in the College Football Playoff but fell out of the race in the final stretch of the regular season.
Colorado suffered a 36-14 defeat against No. 17 BYU in the Alamo Bowl on Dec. 28. Shedeur's performance in the game drew some criticism since he was expected to end his spell at CU with a win.
Nonetheless, Deion's team showed significant improvement from last season when CU finished 4-8, failing to even secure bowl eligibility.
Shedeur Sanders set to declare for 2025 NFL draft
Shedeur Sanders boosted his draft stock during Colorado's 2024 season. The quarterback completed 353 of 477 passes for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns with 10 interceptions. He also scored four rushing touchdowns across 13 games.
His performances saw him get named as the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, and he also won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.
Now, Shedeur is set to declare for the 2025 NFL draft, where many fans and analysts believe he could go as an early first-round pick.
The Tennessee Titans hold the No. 1 pick in this year's draft, and the New York Giants are another team that is linked with drafting the CU quarterback.
