2024 Heisman winner Travis Hunter has had an incredible campaign this season in the Big 12 with the Buffs. The two-way star committed to play under Deion Sanders back in Jackson State and followed him to Boulder last season. Hunter's talents on both sides of the ball was crucial to Colorado's strong nine-win season.

After helping the Colorado Buffaloes qualify for a Bowl game, Travis Hunter decided to gear up one last time during the team's Valero Alamo Bowl showdown against BYU on Saturday. Unfortunately, things did not end on a positive note as the Buffs succumbed to a dominating 36-14 loss to the Cougars.

The first half of the game saw the Buffs go scoreless on the field while Kalani Sitake's team took a 20-0 lead. In the third quarter, QB Shedeur Sanders found Travis Hunter with a long pass. Hunter made a solid connection on the pass and juked BYU players to score a touchdown and finally put the Buffs on the scoreboard.

Fans took to social media to react to Hunter's touchdown that put Colorado on the scoreboard for the night. One fan stated that the two-way star showcased the reason behind his Heisman success with that play.

"Some Heisman moves right there"

This fan was unhappy with the spotlight that the Buffs received after Travis Hunter's touchdowns despite BYU's domination.

"They're getting smoke and ESPN is still glazing. Unreal."

Another fan felt that the Buffs did not have time to celebrate the touchdown as they still had a massive deficit to climb.

"Not much to brag about, Buffs getting blown out."

This fan praised Shedeur Sanders for connecting this long pass with Travis Hunter.

"Great pass with terrible coverage!! Good on Shedeur to spot it!!"

Another fan was left flabbergasted by the duo's chemistry on the field.

"Incredible play by Shedeur and Travis Hunter! That connection is electric"

One fan was left in awe at how Hunter juked the BYU played to reach the endzone.

"That juke was nuts"

Despite two-way star Hunter bringing life back to the team with his touchdown, the Buffs could not capitalize on this momentum to make a comeback. BYU continued with their offensive aggressiveness in the game.

In the fourth quarter, LJ Martin scored a touchdown followed by a 31-yard field goal by Will Ferrin. With just over five minutes left, BYU secured a strong 36-7 lead. Shedeur found a consolation touchdown in the end but it was not enough for Coach Prime's team to flip the momentum as they lost 36-14.

In his final college game, Hunter finished with four catches for 106 yards and a touchdown. He also had four tackles on defense.

Deion Sanders could not give his sons and Hunter the farewell he wished for in the Alamo Bowl. With their collegiate journey finally over, they will now focus on preparing for the 2025 NFL Draft.
