Kristen Saban has been taking it easy in the 2024 college football season. It's a stark difference from last year when coach Nick Saban's daughter was on another level when fangirling for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
However, Nick Saban's retirement earlier this year in January seemed to push Kristen into her comfort zone, enjoying her life and time around family. On Thursday, she posted an adorable story on Instagram of her son, James, sleeping peacefully. She captioned her story:
"His little freckles 🥺"
Nevertheless, Kristen is still a vibrant presence on Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa. Her gameday outfits are still fan favorites, much like last season.
Kristen Saban restresses love for Alabama after Vanderbilt loss
The former Alabama coach’s daughter clarified that her love for the Crimson Tide remains strong. Kristen had to reaffirm her faith in Alabama football because of an Instagram story that she uploaded after the Crimson Tide’s 40-35 loss to the Vanderbilt Commodores in Week 6.
Kristen uploaded her picture with a playful comment, saying:
"Me going to bed tonight knowing I don’t have to take these games personally anymore."
The remark caught fans attention, who wondered if she was distancing herself from the team now that her dad is no longer in charge. However, Kristen quickly clarified her feelings in a follow-up video.
"Let me preface by saying I still love Alabama and want them to succeed, I just meant I don't have to carry all the feelings I used to carry after a loss," she said.
"It takes a lot out of you, and I hope the boys can learn from their mistakes and make a great comeback. Roll Tide forever, duh."
While Kristen supports Alabama through thick and thin, it looks like she’s also found balance after years of watching her father’s team rise and fall. She reassured fans, "It’s just football. Sleep tight."
