The No. 23-ranked Colorado Buffaloes had their senior night on Tuesday. Coach Prime was present to support his players, but it was an especially important night for him, as his sons, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and safety Shilo Sanders, are both seniors.

However, the event was not without drama as Fox News reported that Coach Prime and his ex-wife were apart for the Senior Day celebrations. They reported that Shilo commented that the situation was tense and "like WWIII."

The college football world had some interesting reactions to this remark on Twitter. Some took it in stride and made jokes, while others reacted more negatively.

"Looks like Deion ran the offense, his sons ran the defense, and his ex-wife ran the drama dept! Lol," one fan wrote.
"WWlll will not be Deion, but it will be fans if the first team of the playoffs going nuclear with rage," one fan commented.
"Deion Sanders and his ex-wife had a tense moment at their sons' Senior Day, with Deion describing the situation as "like WWIII"," one fan added.

Some fans commented that it was an immature comment to make about the situation.

"It’s not ww3. That’s immature and stupid to say people suffer in wars grow up," one fan wrote.
"Why must some folks not be happy until everybody around them is dragged into their drama? And oh yes honey, it’s cultural. Ridiculous," one fan commented.
"Wow. You had to throw the sucker punch, huh? Can't just be about proud parents and their successful sons? Just stop," one fan added.

Can Coach Prime and the Colorado Buffaloes make the College Football Playoff?

No, it is no longer possible for Coach Prime and the Colorado Buffaloes to make the CFP. They were in position before Week 13, but their 37-21 loss to Kansas made it unlikely for them to compete in the Big 12 Championship Game. To qualify for the game, they would have needed several teams to lose unlikely matchups in Week 14, and that did not happen.

As a result, Arizona State and Iowa State will compete for the Big 12 championship. So, Coach Prime and the Buffaloes cannot make the playoffs as one of the five highest-ranked conference champions.

Additionally, their ranking is too low to qualify as one of the seven highest-ranked non-champions. So, the Buffs will finish their season with a non-playoff bowl game rather than in the playoffs.
