The Georgia Bulldogs have been one of the most dominant college football programs of the past decade. The Kirby Smart-coached team has won three national championships, two SEC titles and produced numerous first-round NFL draft picks.
However, a graph published on X (formerly known as Twitter) shows that less than 50% of the Bulldogs' football players graduate from college.
The data shows that, since 2016, the Bulldogs have had a graduation rate of 41%. This stat led to negative reactions under the post.
"Holy F*ck @UGAAthletics????" A fan commented.
One user referenced the legal issues faced by Bulldogs wide receiver Rara Thomas, who was charged with multiple speeding violations, including one on July 11th.
"Georgia can’t graduate players or stop them from getting arrested lol 😂😂 what a joke."
“Bulldogs ain’t there to play school,” said a fan.
However, some fans rationalized the low graduation rate.
“I’m not sure these numbers mean a whole lot, but I get it," said a fan.
“Yeah, this isn't accurate,” said another.
“Does this include early departures for the NFL?” Added another.
