Deion Sanders, known as "Coach Prime," is the subject of fresh speculation about leaving college football to coach in the NFL. Reports suggest he has shown interest in leading the Las Vegas Raiders, igniting debates about whether he’s ready for the professional stage.

Chad Johnson, aka Ochocinco, and Shannon Sharpe shared their thoughts on this possibility on the latter's Nightcap show. Johnson praised Sanders for his transformative coaching style.

“You know, seeing Prime at the NFL level and him always saying I would never want to coach NFL players. Yeah, you know, it would change Prime... Everywhere he's gone, he has turned those programs around,” Johnson said.

However, he cautioned against Sanders stepping into the Raiders' role without a solid quarterback.

“The Raiders find a way to go all the way up and get Shedeur, now we talking,” Johnson said.

Sharpe agreed with Johnson, adding that NFL coaching would be a new challenge for Sanders, even with his track record.

"You've got to have a quarterback in order to compete. In a quarterback league, you have got to have a quarterback," Sharpe remarked.

Fans were divided over Sharpe and Johnson’s analysis. Some said they were ready to see Sanders take on the NFL, while others weren’t convinced.

“Horrible idea,” a fan wrote.
“He READY!!! @deionsanders can coach NFL LEVEL because he turns up the temperature in every room he enters 💯,” another fan wrote.

One fan dismissed the idea entirely.

“Raiders don’t want him & his nonsense,” the fan said.
"Until Deion actually signs with an NFL team to be their head coach, I don’t believe it,” a fan commented.
“Let me see him coach for real tho like this upcoming year 🤔,” a fan posted.
“Yes!!!! Brings revenue everywhere he go, Prime is the man 👏👏👏👏,” a fan said.

Deion Sanders commented on the possibility of coaching in the NFL

Deion Sanders said his leap to the NFL would require a family-first scenario, referring to Shedeur and Shilo Sanders.

“The only way I would consider, is to coach my sons,” Sanders said.

While rumors tie him to the Las Vegas Raiders, the move depends on key factors.

The Raiders, holding the sixth overall pick in the draft, would need to maneuver for Shedeur, a projected top-three pick. Meanwhile, Shilo could enter the league this year. The possibility of uniting his sons under one team makes the Raiders an intriguing option for Sanders.

Despite the buzz, Coach Prime is committed to Colorado for now.

“Wherever I go, I’m supposed to be there,” he said.

Having transformed Colorado’s program, Sanders may hesitate to leave unless the stars and draft picks align perfectly. Could the Raiders make it happen? Time will tell.
