The Houston Cougars traveled to Tucson on Friday night to take on the Arizona Wildcats in a Big 12 showdown.

After a 1-4 start to the season, the Cougars had rebounded by winning three of their last four games and were coming off a 24-19 upset win over Kansas State.
The Wildcats, meanwhile, were hoping to break a five-game skid, which had dropped them to 3-6 through nine games (1-5 Big 12).
After a close first half, the Wildcats broke away with a dominant third-quarter display and secured a 27-3 win.

Houston vs. Arizona: Game Summary
Arizona scored the only points of the first quarter with a seven-play, 60-yard touchdown drive capped off by a 33-yard pitch-and-catch from Noah Fifita to Tetairoa McMillan, giving the Wildcats a 7-0 lead entering the second quarter.
The second quarter was scoreless until the 0:42 mark, with Houston kicking a 49-yard field goal to cut Arizona's lead to 7-3. The Wildcats put Tyler Loop on the field for an incredible 62-yard field goal, giving Arizona a 10-3 lead going into halftime

The Wildcats pulled away on the back of a dominant third quarter. After forcing a punt, Arizona mustered a 70-yard drive capped off by a 13-yard touchdown pass to Quali Conley.
Arizona maintained its momentum, forcing a turnover on downs before kicking a 51-yard field goal to extend its lead to 20-3. The Wildcats scored another touchdown on their next drive, with a 50-yard scamper to the end zone from Conley.
The Wildcats held Houston scoreless in the second half to clinch a 27-3 win.
