The Crimson Tide are coming off a 42-16 win over South Florida in a game that was competitive until Alabama scored 28 points in the fourth. It will be the Crimson Tide's first road game of 2024 and coach Kalen DeBoer is eager for the challenge.
"It’s going to be a great atmosphere up there. And I think it’s one that when you’re preparing to go play those games, and we’ll of course have that many times here with the SEC schedule too, that hostile environment, taking it on and just kind of knowing that it’s you versus everyone there. I think our guys are looking forward to the challenge and looking forward to improving on this last week," DeBoer said, via SI.
Wisconsin, meanwhile, is 2-0 to begin the year as the Badgers are coming off a 27-13 win over South Dakota. In the win, quarterback Tyler van Dyke went 17-of-27 for 214 yards and a touchdown.
Although Wisconsin is an underdog, coach Luke Fickell says his team is excited to test themselves against Alabama.
“This is a great opportunity and I think our guys are excited,” Fickell said, via Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “As we went into fall camp these were the things that were in front of us and we knew that."
Alabama is a 16-point favorite to defeat Wisconsin on Saturday in Week 3.
