College Football 25 has over 120 programs in the game, and over 10,000 players have made an appearance in the latest edition of the video game series.
Previous editions of the game allowed users to edit players fully. However, this is not the case in College Football 25. That being said, if you want to edit players, you can do so through the Player Editor.
How to access the Player Editor in College Football 25
The Player Editor is the main place in the game where you can edit the numerous players in the game. Here are some steps to help you access the editor:
- From the game home screen, use the controller "bumpers" to move to the "Create and Share" screen.
- While on this screen, press "Rosters" and then choose "Manage Players."
- Choose which team and player you want to edit. The game will automatically place the team that the player chose at the beginning of the game as the first team shown.
- Once the player has been selected, select "Edit Player."
The limitations in College Football 25 for player editing
While there is a player editor in College Football 25, for the majority of players, the options are limited to the apparel that they are wearing in these parts:
- Head Gear
- Torso
- Arms
- Lower Body
- Feet
However, in some cases, these are limited to certain brands if a program has signed an exclusivity agreement with the brand.
These limitations are because the majority of players have signed an NIL (name, image and likeness) deal to have their own name and appearance in the game. This prevents users from altering anything that can uniquely identify a player. This includes:
- Name
- Number
- Team
- Position
- Rating
- Attributes
- Anything to do with their physical appearance.
How can users edit non-NIL players in College Football 25
However, for players who have not signed an NIL agreement to appear in the game, the Player Editor is incredibly useful.
Here, users can edit most of the things about the player. This includes the player's
- Name
- Attributes
- Position
- Ratings
- Apparel
- Appearance
When editing the player's appearance, most of the changes that the user can make will affect their physique, which will impact the way they play on the field.
However, users will not have full customization in the player editor, so the only real opportunity that the user will get to insert themselves into College Football with a character that looks like them will be in "Road To Glory Mode."
