The return of the EA Sports College Football 25 franchise has fans buzzing with excitement. Set for release on July 19, 2024, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with a deluxe edition available three days earlier, this game promises to bring a highly immersive experience.

A major highlight is Dynasty Mode, which allows players to lead a college football program to glory. Here's a deep dive into the top most interesting features of this mode.

Top most interesting features of EA Sports College Football 25 game

#1. Immersive online and offline dynasty play

College Football 25's Dynasty Mode is designed for both online and offline play, allowing up to 32 users to participate in a single dynasty. However, online play will not be cross-platform between PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The mode is capped at 30 years per dynasty, and players can begin their careers as a head coach and offensive or defensive coordinator. Each coach has a unique backstory categorized into three archetypes:

  • Motivator
  • Recruiter
  • Tactician.

Players can build a skill tree for their coach and take advantage of the coaching carousel at the end of each season, which offers opportunities to switch jobs or manage their staff if they are head coaches.

#2. Deeper player development

Player development in College Football 25 Dynasty Mode has been extensively refined. Players can now directly influence attributes and skills, enhancing their team’s capabilities over time. For instance, the "brain exposure" attribute affects a player's awareness and decision-making.

The College Football 25 game visually tracks attribute improvements over time through factors like winning and playing prime-time games. This system aims to capture school-specific traditions, atmospheres and pre-game rituals.

College Football 25 game includes over 12,000 real student-athletes with their likenesses. There are four player development traits:

  • Normal
  • Impact
  • Star
  • Elite

Each feature defines the potential and growth rate of players. Normal players progress steadily, Impact players improve faster with higher potential, Star players stand out early and Elite players make an immediate impact and have the potential to become all-time greats.

#3. In-Depth coach progression

Coach progression in College Football 25 is another standout feature. Players can progress their coach by completing various goals, earning XP and leveling up to a maximum of level 50.

There are four categories of Coach XP Goals:

  • Draft
  • Game
  • Recruiting
  • Stats.

These goals can range from single-game achievements like "Interception" to long-term career milestones such as "Win 5 National Championships."

As coaches achieve these goals, they earn Coach Points, which can be used to upgrade their abilities. The game offers five progression speed settings, allowing users to control how quickly their coaches advance.

Notifications will appear during gameplay to inform users of completed goals and XP rewards, with a summary screen showing overall progress after each game or week.

#4. Enhanced recruiting system

College Football 25 Dynasty Mode includes a comprehensive recruiting system featuring over 3,500 prospects, each with 14 different pitch grades that reflect various factors such as "proximity to home" and "playing time."

Recruiting points are allocated to set up visits and court prospects who will narrow their choices through multiple stages before committing. The Transfer Portal allows teams to see potential departures and make efforts to retain players.

Adding new talent from the portal works similarly to recruiting but with quicker decisions. Moreover, users can customize conferences, create leagues with up to 20 teams and control the number of conference games and divisions. The Team Builder feature also returns, letting players create their own team.

Users will have a set amount of points to spend on recruiting efforts, including setting up visits for prospects. As the recruiting process progresses, prospects will narrow down their choices from the top 10 to the top three before making their final decision.

College Football 25 captures detailed school-specific traditions, atmospheres and pre-game rituals. With over 12,000 real student-athletes and the return of iconic features like the Heisman Trophy presentation and All-American teams, this game is expected to deliver a truly immersive college football experience.
