What would EA Sports College Football 25 be without a little mystery? A recent discovery in the game has started one. Players in Ultimate Team mode may have stumbled onto memory tokens. What are they? What can they do? EA hasn't provided much guidance, but here's a quick study on memory tokens.

The Ultimate Team mode is different than most game modes in College Football 25. Within that mode, players can acquire college football legends to add to their team. To acquire legends, players complete challenges. Each challenge yields coins or some other basic reward. On the list of rewards appear legends memory tokens.

How do legends memory tokens work in EA College Football 25?

Legends memory tokens will help players acquire better players. Players can enter the legend item sets and will find some legends for whom a memory token can satisfy one of the criteria for an exchange.

In one online video, a player opens an 82-level legend, which would normally require trading two 81 legends and a 79 legend. But a memory token can substitute for either (or both, if two are used) of the 81 legends, meaning that only a 79 legend would have to be given up to obtain an 82-rated legend.

Other tokens are apparently coming with even bigger rewards, so players might be well advised to just hold on to the legends memory tokens. While they are fairly helpful now, they could be even more helpful with other tokens being released and other legends being added.

Can you trade or share legends memory tokens with other players?

There is no indication that legends memory tokens can be traded or shared beyond their use in exchanging the tokens for other legends. Again, as the entire token trading system is newly unveiled and not yet explained, it's likely that more and bigger rewards are yet to come.

The smart play for now is probably to save the tokens and see what new developments arise. After all, the existing swaps will still be available. Meanwhile, as players get the ability to add additional, higher-rated players to their teams, those players will build greater success in Ultimate Team mode.

Have you found the legends memory tokens yet? Did you use them to get better players or save them for greater long-term potential rewards? Share your thoughts and stories below in our comments section!
