Deion Sanders called out college and high school sports media house On3 during his weekly press conference on Tuesday. The coach previously exchanged social media messages regarding Phillip Dukes's dismissal with On3's founder and CEO, Shannon Terry.

On3 allegedly parted ways with Dukes due to his visit to Boulder for Colorado’s Week 9 game against Cincinnati. The analyst has now been hired by Deion Sanders Jr.’s "Well Off Media" and he was present at Coach Prime’s press session on Tuesday ahead of their Kansas clash.

“Phillip Dukes with Well Off Media,” Dukes began during his question amid Sanders’ weekly media availability on Tuesday.

Coach Prime, who has a net worth of $45 million according to Celebrity Net Worth, interjected him to throw a dig at On3.

“My man, my dawg,” Sanders said. “They thought they counted you out … God gave him a favor. On3, how you like em now? Yeah, I’m going to say it. You’re darn right I’m going to say it. Let’s go. I’m sorry. I apologize. I’m kind of petty at times. That’s the pettiness in me. I’m sorry. Go ahead, Mr. Dukes.”

The social media altercation between Deion Sanders and On3’s Shannon Terry

After the news of Phillip Dukes and On3 parting ways broke out following his trip to Boulder, Deion Sanders took to social media to voice his support for the Dukes. The coach commended the analyst for his exceptional journalistic talent and unwavering work ethic.

“What’s really going on? My man @DukestheScoop is a free agent I just heard,” Sanders wrote. “This young brother is truly talented, smart, relational & will work his butt off. Networks & media outlets please check him out. @On3sports what’s really going on? God bless u my brother.”

Sanders' public endorsement of Dukes sparked controversy, drawing a direct response from On3 CEO Shannon Terry. In a swift and contentious response, Terry openly addressed the Colorado coach’s remarks, fueling a heated exchange between the two on social media.

“Coach @DeionSanders, with all due respect, as my mother and father told me growing up, 'mind your own plate,'” Terry wrote. “Dukes and I had a great conversation this morning about what was best for On3 and his career. We are good and have a plan.”

These prior occurrences obviously fueled the words that came out of Deion Sanders’ mouth in his press conference session on Tuesday. With Phillip Dukes now on a new adventure with Well Off Media, he’s expected to have a closer link with the Colorado football program as well as Coach Prime himself.
