College Football 25 is a week old, and many players are developing their skills in the game. One of the more important skills a player can use in the game is the ability to perform a catch manually.
Normally, the game does the catches automatically. The player, in this case, controls the quarterback and decides where, when and how to throw. They then control the receiver once the ball has been caught.
But for those who want to be more involved in the catching process, here is how you make a "user catch" in College Football 25.
How to make a user catch in College Football 25
Depending on which console the player is using, there are several ways to make a catch manually in College Football 25.
In both situations, the player will begin in the snap as usual and will control the quarterback to make the pass. When the pass is made, the user will be in control of their wide receiver to make the catch.
On Xbox Consoles
Here is how to make the catch on Xbox consoles.
If the player needs to sprint toward the ball, they should hold RT and move the arrow stick where required.
When the player wants to make the catch, they need to press the A button or the Y button if they want to make an "aggressive catch." To make sure your player attempts to gain RAC yards, you should press the X button instead of the two mentioned above.
On PlayStation Consoles
On PlayStation consoles, the player needs to hold the R2 button to sprint toward the ball and move the joystick in the required direction for the run.
To make the catch, the player should press the X button. For an aggressive catch, the triangle button needs to be pressed, and for RAC, it is the square button.
Tips to help players make a user catch in College Football 25
One of the key things to master to be good at this skill is to time the catch well. If the button is not pressed at the right time, the catch will either not be made (and the play will be an incomplete pass) or an opponent can intercept the pass if the receiver is in coverage during the pass.
Another thing to watch out for is where the player is before the catch is made, as the player could be seen as inferring. This may be penalized as offensive pass interference, which will not help your offense.
