Dylan Raiola on preparation for Illinois
It's a perfect record for Nebraska in the 2024 college football season. However, it gets tougher for the program as it commences its Big Ten schedule against Illinois in Week 4.
Dylan Raiola discussed the preparation for the Fighting Illini with the media on Tuesday:
“With a short week, I wanted to move on from it pretty quick, Raiola said. "I think that it was important that I just woke up and watched the tape and graded myself and just moved on from it.
You’ve got a Friday game, and it’s a great opponent that you’re going to play, so you want to make sure that you can make it as close to a normal week as you can, just with one less day of preparation, but we’ll be ready, regardless.”
The Cornhuskers will hope to count on the brilliance of Dylan Raiola in the conference play this season. They've already been described as one of the surprise packages of the season and would hope to keep that reputation as the season progresses.
Bret Bielema heaps praise on Dylan Raiola
Ahead of the Week 4 encounter against Nebraska, Illinois coach Bret Bielema commended the brilliance of Dylan Raiola. The coach believes the quarterback offers something different to the Cornhuskers and anticipates a tough day for his defense.
"He brings a lot of different elements immediately. He's a very talented, young man that has incredible awareness," Bielema said.
"They utilize him very well. You can literally see him getting better in every series. I know he was a highly-recruited player, brought a lot of attention and deservedly so," he added.
Illinois boasts a physical defense with brilliant pass coverage. Bielema will be hoping this can help subdue Raiola in the Big Ten game on Friday.
