Nebraska Cornhuskers freshman quarterback Dylan Railoa hyped up David Sanders Jr. on Thursday after the five-star offensive lineman visited the school.
Sanders took to his Instagram on Wednesday to post himself at Memorial Stadium wearing the Huskers uniform. However, he has yet to commit to a school as he continues to decide where he will be playing football in 2024.
Sanders is currently the No. 1 ranked offensive tackle and the No. 2 player in the class of 2025, according to 247Sports, which has him as a five-star recruit.
With Sanders being highly sought after, Railoa took to his Instagram story Thursday to tell Husker Nation to try and persuade him to commit to Nebraska.
"Husker Nation show David love," Railoa wrote.
If Nebraska coach Matt Rhule can land Sanders, it would be a massive get for the program. Sanders would be an anchor on the offensive line to protect Railoa and give the star quarterback more time to find his receivers.
Currently, Sanders hasn't revealed when he will be making his commitment, but the other schools interested in him reportedly include Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama, among others.
Matt Rhule heaps praise on Dylan Raiola
Dylan Raiola committed to Nebraska after flipping on Georgia, and he should be a day-one starter for the Cornhuskers.
However, going into the season, Rhule said he doesn't want to put pressure on Raiola, as he just wants him to focus on playing football.
"I told Dylan the moment he got there, don't worry about being the five-star quarterbacks," Rhule told 247Sports. 'Don't worry about being all these things. Expectation weighs us down. Just play ball. I'm way more interested in (figuring out) where all our (quarterbacks) where they end up. Not where they are in Year 1.
"That's one of the things that's stressing out our young people. Based upon what I've seen, he's in here all the time. He's committed to doing this and doing this at a high level.
"I want to see him compete and have fun. I wanna see him play fearless. You’re going to make mistakes. We had so many turnovers last year. We have to improve that as coaches. But I wanna see Dylan come in her and rip the the ball. I would say there’s a chance we’ll probably play all three (quarterbacks) because that’s modern college football."
Nebraska is set to open its 2024 season on Aug. 31 at home against UTEP. The Cornhuskers have notable games against Colorado, Ohio State, UCLA, Wisconsin, Iowa and USC, among others, in the Big 12 this season.
