“I f***ing love this”: Pat McAfee glorifies Oregon HC Dan Lanning’s gladiator moment

The No. 1 Oregon Ducks are coming off a dominant 38-17 victory over the Michigan Wolverines on Saturday. Before the game, Oregon coach Dan Lanning gave a passionate speech using a quote from Ridley Scott's movie "Gladiator" to motivate his team.

Lanning used the famous line "Are you not entertained?" from Russell Crowe's character Maximus from the 2000 film. The moment helped give Oregon (9-0, 6-0 Big Ten) confidence to defeat Michigan (5-4, 3-3) and remain undefeated.

The Ducks recorded the moment backstage and on the field as Lanning motivated his players. "College GameDay" panelist Pat McAfee reacted to the speech on X on Wednesday, voicing his approval.

"Uhhh... YEAH. I F*CKING LOVE THIS," McAfee wrote.

Oregon has three games left in the regular season and is tied with the eighth-ranked Indiana Hoosiers (9-0, 6-0) as the Ducks pursue a spot in the College Football Playoff.

On Saturday, Oregon will take on the Maryland Terrapins (4-4, 1-4).

Maryland will visit the Ducks at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Oregon. The home game gives Oregon a slight advantage as it looks to stay undefeated in front of its fans. Meanwhile, the Terrapins hope to avenge a 48-23 loss against the Minnesota Golden Gophers (6-3, 4-2) on Oct. 26.

In its last eight games, Oregon has scored over 30 points to defeat its opponents. The most points it scored was 49-14 in a win over the Pac-12's Oregon State Beavers on Sept. 14. Maryland has yet to have 30 points in a game this season, which could be a problem if the Terrapins can't get stops on defense.
