Deion Sanders had a successful NFL career before becoming a college football coach. He joined the Colorado Buffaloes last year and has now helped them qualify for the Bowl games in his second season with the program. Apart from that, Coach Prime is also nurturing a few notable talents under his wing, like Travis Hunter, Jimmy Horn Jr. and his sons Shedeur and Shilo Sanders.

However, when it comes to superseding his own legacy, Deion Sanders has faith in this particular player, and it is not his son Shedeur. Ahead of Colorado's week 11 showdown against Texas Tech, Coach Prime appeared on the 'Buffs Prime Time' show alongside Mark Johnson.

On the show, Deion Sanders talked about the talents of Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter, who is also viewed as a top contender for this season's Heisman trophy. He went on to compare his own NFL career with Hunter's future and talked about how the wide receiver/cornerback could go on to surpass his legacy and march toward glory.

"I did it at the pro level," Coach Prime said. "So I know, don't tell me what can't be done. I did it at the pro level. I was playing 100 some snaps some game at the pro level. So why can't he? It's already been done."
"But not like that," Sanders continued while referring to Travis Hunter.. "Shoot. He's doing it doing it. I was good, but he is great."

Travis Hunter has been one of Deion Sanders' most formidable weapons on the gridiron. He decided to transfer from Jackson State last season along with Coach Prime and his sons. During his debut Colorado campaign, Hunter was honored with the Paul Hornung Award for his commendable performance.

So far this season, Hunter has recorded 757 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on offense while tallying 20 total tackles and two interceptions on defense. This week, PFF also ranked him as one of the top five wide receivers and cornerbacks in the country.

Paul Finebaum has a strong message for Deion Sanders' team ahead of showdown against Texas Tech

Last week, the Red Raiders secured a victory over Iowa State. This helped open a path for the Colorado Buffaloes to be a contender for the Big 12 championship this season.

On Friday's episode of 'Get Up', Paul Finebaum talked about how Week 11 contest against Texas Tech is crucial for Deion Sanders and his team.

"This is a dangerous game," Finebaum said. "Remember, last week this Texas Tech team beat Iowa State, and playing at Lubbock is a challenge. I believe Colorado has come around though."
"They have so many outstanding players, and really, whatever happens this season, it has been one of the most remarkable turarounds of all time, especially if they can find a way to get to the championship game in the Big 12."

The Colorado vs. Texas Tech game is scheduled for Saturday, November 9. It will be hosted at the Jones AT&T Stadium and will kick off at 4 p.m. ET. Fans can catch all the action of the game on FOX channel on television.
