Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans are having a disappointing Big Ten debut this season. Their Week 10 loss at the hands of the Washington Huskies has highlighted their struggles. Thr defeat means the Trojans have a losing record of 4-5 (2-5 Big Ten conference) with three games remaining in the season.

After the game, Trojans coach Riley had a stern message for college football fans. In the post-game press conference, the USC head coach highlighted how he is not a fan of losing games.

"I don't handle losing very well. It hasn't happened much in my career," Riley said. "That part of it is unacceptable."

The loss to the Washington Huskies narrows their chance of being eligible for the bowl games this season. They need to win two of the remaining three games of the regular season to qualify.

Before Lincoln Riley took over USC, he served as the head coach of the Oklahoma Sooners. During his five-season stint, he led the program to four consecutive Big 12 titles. However, Riley has not been able to replicate the same success with USC.

Last season, the Trojans finished with an 8-5 overall record. They emerged victorious against Louisville in the Holiday Bowl. However, with the way things are moving this season, the Trojans might find themselves ending their Big Ten debut with disappointment.

Lincoln Riley makes his thoughts clear on QB Miller Moss

In the post-game press conference, the USC head coach was questioned about whether he would replace starting QB Miller Moss with Jayden Maiava. Against the Huskies, Moss tallied 293 passing yards and two TD passes while throwing three interceptions.

Lincoln Riley said that this is not something he has given a lot of thought to. He also went on to talk about how the end goal every week is to have the best starting lineup to win games.

"I wouldn't say that right now, no," Riley said. "For us right right now, we're looking at what is the best lineup, the best people to help us win each and every week."

Jayden Maiava spent two seasons with UNLV before transferring to USC this offseason. He was named as the backup to Moss and so far has seen limited time on the field against Utah State, Wisconsin, and Rutgers. It will be interesting to see if Riley decides to switch up the QB depth chart ahead of their next contest against Nebraska.
