"I honestly want everybody to win": Coach Prime's son Deion Sanders Jr. laments over fall camp injuries of Colorado's "rivals"

Deion Sanders Jr. raised concern about the series of injuries occurring in fall camps across the college football world. A lot of teams within the landscape have announced player injuries in the ongoing fall camps with a good number of them being season-ending injuries.

“I hate seeing these boys getting injured in fall camp.. even if you’re our rivals. It’s cool to talk sh*** on here or whatever but at the end of the day, we’re working towards the same goal. I honestly want everybody to win,” Deion Jr. posted on X.

Deion Sanders Jr.'s father is confident he will succeed at Colorado

The first season in Boulder didn’t go as Deion Sanders would have anticipated, but it was a learning process and a vital experience for the coach. Colorado ended the 2023 college football season with a 4-8 record despite winning the first three games.

Nonetheless, Sanders expressed confidence during the Big 12 media days that he will succeed with the Buffaloes.

“I feel like I'm a winner. I know I'm a winner. So whatever I display, however, I go about my job, my work, my business, my personal life, that's of a winner. That's all I know.

“I don't know anything else but that. So in due time, in due process, we're going to reach that goal because if we're going to get there -- because I know I'm going to get there. And I'm not going by myself.”

Deion Sanders wants balanced success

While winning on the gridiron is what describes a successful program in college football, Deion Sanders has his own definition of that. And that’s a team that can adequately balance football and academic success.

“My wins are totally different than your wins. Your wins, you just judge football; that's why I start out give you education and academics and so forth,” Sanders said.

“I have to give you those things so you understand there's a greater scope. I can't win nine games and our GPA suffers. Our GPA can't be high and we lose another eight games.”

Sanders will move to make a good impression in the Big 12 next season following their poor outing in 2023. There’s a lot of anticipation about what the Buffaloes can achieve in the upcoming season.
