Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders' firstborn daughter Deiondra Sanders has been spending a lot of time in Boulder over the past few weeks, after giving birth to her son in August.
During Colorado's bye week after clinching bowl eligibility for the first time since 2016, the Buffs coach has been spending time with his grandson as well.
On Monday, Deiondra saw a post on Instagram about motherhood and how it can be difficult to get used to it sometimes. She shared that post on her Instagram stories, and added her own caption with it, stating that it resonated with her.
"Okay, so I'm not alone. I stay staring at Snow like I'm really somebody momma! LOL," Deiondra Sanders wrote.
Deiondra Sanders did not expect to be a mother
When Deiondra Sanders announced her pregnancy with R&B star Jacquees in February, she also detailed the difficulties that she had to go through to conceive.
In an Instagram post, she revealed that she had been placed under the 'high risk' moms category with a chance of miscarriage during the term of the pregnancy. She received overwhelming support from fans after the disclosure.
"I’m having my baby for the 4 myomectomy surgeries I have had,” Deiondra Sanders wrote. “I am having my baby for all the years I stayed on birth control even though it gave me breast tumors. I’m having my baby for all the Doctors that told me I wouldn’t make it out the first trimester. I’m having a baby for the 7 current fibroids that surrounds my uterus to this day.
"I’m having a baby for all the high risk moms that was scared everyday thinking they would miscarry… I’m having this baby to give hope to all the other women that may be in my situation. No matter what Doctor’s say, GOD HAS THE FINAL SAY."
Even after she gave birth on Coach Prime's birthday, Deiondra revealed on Instagram that she had more complications to go through during the actual pregnancy.
"WE MADE IT YALL🥹 Through every challenge—the fibroids, the threatened miscarriages, the shortened cervix, the cerclage, the myomectomies, the wisdom of age(keep it cute lol), placenta accreta and taking my entire uterus, the bed rest, and the prayers to reach 28 weeks—by the grace of God, WE MADE IT," Deiondra wrote.
Deiondra Sanders has documented the extensive support that she has received from her family, including her mother Carolyn Chambers, her brother, Deion Sanders Jr. and her father, Coach Prime, over the course of her pregnancy.
