"I could never" - Coach Prime's son Deion Sanders Jr. shares an important life rule he abides by

Colorado coach Deion Sanders' eldest son Deion Sanders Jr. (aka Bucky) has been one of the Heisman-winner Travis Hunter's most vocal supporters. He pushed Hunter's campaign for the prestigious accolade since the beginning of the season.

Bucky has also dealt with the naysayers on various social media platforms, defending the two-way star at every turn.

Sanders Jr. has not abandoned his post even after Hunter claimed college football's biggest award.

On Tuesday, Bucky posted an important rule of thumb on X that he abides by as Travis Hunter deals with the backlash that his fiancee faced from football fans. The furore came due to her not appearing sufficiently enthusiastic when Hunter's name was called out as the Heisman winner.

"I could never hate on somebody just to boost my engagement," Deion Sanders Jr. wrote.

During a Dec. 10 interview on the "Pivot" podcast, Heisman-winning star Travis Hunter revealed just how close he is to Bucky and the roles that they play in each other's lives.

"It's definitely all four of us, you know, Bucky (Deion Sanders Jr.), I talk to Bucky the most," Hunter said. "I probably talk to him and Shilo the most but during football and everything, on the field, I talk to Shedeur more than everybody.

"Bucky is just like a big brother, he helps me out and I help him out. Like I said, I'm an old soul, so I try to help him out as much as I can just as much as they help me out."

He further continued:

"I mean, we have that bond, nobody can break us apart. When we around each other, nothing but goofballs. We always laugh, we always talking smack, but they definitely took me in, inside their bond and brought me in as a brother."

Bucky was there during the Jackson State days when Coach Prime managed to convince Hunter to flip his commitment from the Florida State Seminoles to the Tigers in 2021. He then formed a tight-knit group with the Sanders brothers.

Despite not being a playing member of the Colorado Buffaloes, Deion Sanders Jr. has formed close bonds with many players in his father's team. But none has been more important than Travis Hunter, who has even fought the two-way star's battles en route to the Heisman.
